How to take good care of your skin? Meeting with Dr. Linda Gomis
We, the French, have this nice reputation of taking care of ourselves, our skin, our beauty. We are the French symbol of less is more beauty, who wear little make-up and breathe naturalness. However, we are not so lucky to have a porcelain complexion. Rosacea, acne, pigmentation spots or depigmentation, no matter what affects us personally, we all want perfect skin for our big day... But how do you do it? To answer our eternal questions, the S U Z A N N E Ceremony team went to meet Dr Linda Gomis, a plastic surgeon at Montpellier who tells us all about taking good care of his skin before his wedding. Winter bride or summer bride, here are the precious advices you can apply:
First rule for all brides: do not test a new cream or care 3 weeks before your wedding to avoid the risk of having an allergy.
For the winter bride, we recommend:
- Hydration: (cocooning mask to be left on all night long to limit the phenomena of tightness due to low temperature, rubbing of wind sweaters ...).
- Radiance: indeed at this time of the year our skin is less exposed and can become dull, so we rely on fruit acid care and do not forget the chemical or enzymatic exfoliation once a week.
For the summer bride, we recommend:
- A pretty, slightly tanned but spotless complexion! ( can be exposed in the month before the wedding date but with a good protection SPF50).
Be careful, if you expose yourself to the sun, don't forget to moisturize because you risk a rebound effect (the sun dries our skin and in reaction it produces sebum and therefore the formation of blackheads) and the result that we absolutely do not want is to see pimples appear!
I have acneic skin, what can I do?
For acne-prone skin, it is best to check with your Dermatologist to set up an appropriate treatment 9-12 months before your wedding.
The peel, am I concerned?
- For who?
For the person who has suffered from the after-effects of the years, who will have to face the consequences of the years or pigment stainlack of radiancenow dilated.
- When to do it?
In autumn or winter but never summer and well two months before her wedding.
- How many sessions are required?
2 to 4 sessions spaced 15 days apart in general, but still to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Because Dr. Linda Gomis has a complexion that makes us dream, she shares with us her skin routine which boils down to a double cleaning ( Washing oil first and a foam in the second step (morning and evening), a eye contour by massaging and draining the eyelids, un anti-redness serum, a moisturizer with a spf50, enzymatic exfoliating scrub once a week, a moisturizing or plumping mask that she leaves on almost every night and finally the Dermapen does at his office in 3 sessions 15 days apart twice a year.
Linda's "beauty products" favorites:
- The Eye Contour Glossier ❤️❤️
- spf 50 dynamic skin recovery moisturizing cream Dermalogica
- Drink up mask Intensive Origins
- Exfoliating Powder Oh My Cream
We also asked what she thought about dietary supplements. Here's a little recap of the essentials:
- The very important Omega 3s to take all year round.
- Probiotics because a disturbed intestinal flora does not allow the assimilation of the vitamin nutrients in our food (to be taken almost all year round).
- The brand's blends AIME all are very well according to each problem (skin with rosacea, acne skin ...)
Finally, of course, we asked Dr. Linda Gomis to tell us about her hair care ritual. Like most women, she lost a lot of hair after her 3 pregnancies but also because of stress. They are therefore very fragile and because of her profession, they are very often tied up, hygiene obliges. She therefore regularly takes an iron and food supplement cure with applications of lotion and adapted shampoo.
His little secrets:
She loves shampoo. Kevin Murphy range" Plumping » with guaranteed volume and smell ✨✨
Especially in the summer, it protects them from the sun, from the pool water...
She's a fan of the coconut oil mask she leaves on at night.
There you go, you know everything about being the most beautiful!
